Shrinking Social Security Checks

An informational article ran today on the Motley Fool regarding how a Social Security check can be less than the meager check that retirees were planning on cashing each month.  Some key points, money can be deducted for Medicare, income taxes, and money can be withheld for back taxes, overdue alimony/child support, and even old student loans.  These topics are covered in-depth in my upcoming book, but for now, these facts may surprise a few people who just thought that the amount they thought that they’d receive was set in stone.
